Bear & I landed in Australia at 7:20 pm on Valentine's Day. Our flight was 10 1/2 hours long. It was the most comfortable either of us has ever been on a plane. The food was good. And all alcohol and snacks were complimentary.
There is a great big sign we saw in customs that is posted every where cigarettes are sold that says smoking kills. A pack costs between $17 and $25. I am amazed anyone here smokes. It's actually pretty rare. The Australians seem much more fit and health conscious than we Americans are. Tipping is also a rare thing here. I do not know how I'd survive with out tips, they're all my play money.
We took a cab to our hotel with the quietest cabi we've ever met.
